Mark Florio

Sr. Director of Global Robotics Service & Repair Medtronic

Mark Florio’s career in the healthcare industry started in 1992 after he finished his service in the U.S. Army. Since then he has been in Marketing leadership roles, building business strategy and managing products and processes. Mark’s corporate experience includes; Dianon Systems, CooperSurgical, Covidien and now Medtronic.

In 2014 he joined the nascent Medtronic surgical robotics project with the responsibility of building a global service and repair organization from the ground up, with a focus on the customer. Currently, he leads the MDT Global Robotics Service and Support business with 27 employees primarily responsible for installing, supporting and repairing the Hugo RAS system.

Mark’s experience includes; extensive knowledge and experience designing and building a global service and repair business from the ground up and scaling through significant growth within the surgical robotics market. In addition to the technical support aspects of the business, he is also responsible for service and repair strategy, marketing and service repair operations.
